Meet your Weed Man team of lawn specialists who are professionally trained to manage all of your lawn care needs. We're happy to introduce ourselves!

P. Dobson Ramsey Jr. 

Dobson is the owner at Weed Man Lawn Care Shreveport. Dobson started Weed Man Shreveport, L.L.C. in 2016 after leaving the Oil & Gas industry. He and his wife Julie have two young children, Tripp and Josie. Dobson grew up on a cattle and crop farm north of Shreveport, LA.  It was here he developed a liking for agriculture and the outdoors.  He attended high school in Jonesboro, AR and college at the U of A in Fayetteville, AR. In the summers he worked on golf courses.  It was there he had the privilege of working under an Ag. & Turf PhD that was tasked with the development of a par 5 course located in N.E. Arkansas. “It was then I learned that cutting grass and turf grass management were two very different things.”  Dobson handles many service calls, technician visits, and lawn analyses himself. He has instilled an obsession with customer service in the Weed Man Shreveport team. Dobson takes a hands-on approach to management and is involved with every aspect of the business. 

John C. Laird Jr. 

John has been with Weed Man Shreveport since 2017. He was born and raised in Monroe, LA.  John is the General/Sales Manager of Weed Man Shreveport. He is responsible for customer service, sales, customer retention, and the day to day operation of our office. He has a B.S. in Molecular/Cellular Biology from Louisiana State University-Shreveport. He has a background in sales with 6 years of experience. John enjoys the challenge of sales and customer interaction. He enjoys traveling with his wife Ashley, reading, and the outdoors. 

bryan flores | senior LAWN CARE TECHNICIAN

Bryan is 25 years old and a native of Guatemala where some of his family still lives. The rest of his family is in the restaurant business here in Shreveport,-Bossier City, LA. He has 2 dogs which he loves to go on walks with. He also enjoys soccer and does real estate on the side. Bryan's favorite part of the job is getting to be a part of and watch the transition of a lawn and how it improves the quality of a home. Bryan has quickly become an invaluable leader on our team and helps to train and mentor other technicians. 

JOHN philyaw | lawn care technician

John is 40 years old, married with 2 children. He has an 8 year old and a 4 year old. He enjoys spending time with his children and teaching him to be the best they can be. John enjoys being a Lawn Care Technician because it allows him to work alone and he is in control of his day. He is beloved by our customers. We get calls regularly complimenting John. He takes his time to speak and educate customers at each opportunity.

peyton norwood | LAWN CARE TECHNICIAN  

Peyton is 22 years old from Shreveport LA. He and his partner have one daughter. He enjoys riding and working on ATV's, the outdoors. He has significant small engine knowledge and helps keep our pumps/motors running. Peyton enjoys working at Weed Man Shreveport because of being outdoors and learning new things about turf management. He is another valued member of our team who is also a customer favorite.

alejandro "alex" derige  | LAWN CARE TECHNICIAN  

Alex is 25 years old from Stonewall, LA. He was raised in a military family and has played multiple sports. He enjoys golfing in his spare time. Alex also brings significant small engine knowledge to our team which is invaluable in our business. Alex is our newest technician, however, you would never know it watching him work. He goes the extra mile to ensure each customer he encounters is pleased with his work. He also enjoys watching the lawn transformation under our program. 

zachary tyler | administrative assistant  

Zachary is 24 years old and native to Shreveport, LA. He enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to music, gaming, and collecting comics. He is many times the first person a customer speaks with. He has transitioned quickly into a role where he wears multiple hats assisting with customer service bookkeeping, scheduling, and accounts receivable. He enjoys helping customers with their needs and is excellent with customer retention/satisfaction.
